Why it keeps pulling you back

It’s not simply a lack of willpower

When smoking or vaping becomes connected to stress, coffee, social situations or simply taking a break, the response can begin to feel automatic. You may consciously want to stop while another part of your mind still expects smoking or vaping to provide comfort, relief or familiarity.

That can create a frustrating tug of war. You stop for a while, something triggers the old pattern, and before you know it, you’re back where you started. Luke’s approach focuses on understanding and changing those learned associations, rather than asking you to rely on willpower alone.

A session built around you

Your experience shapes the approach

Luke’s standard appointment runs for approximately two hours, with the first hour focused on understanding you. You’ll talk about your triggers, previous attempts to stop, what smoking or vaping has come to represent and why leaving it behind matters to you.

This conversation allows Luke to personalise the session around your own language, motivations and experiences. The process isn’t based on a generic script. It’s designed to reinforce a decision you have already made for yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before booking?

The initial call is the best place to discuss your circumstances. These answers cover the most common practical questions.

What happens during a session?

A standard appointment runs for approximately two hours. The first part is a detailed conversation about your habits, triggers, previous attempts to stop and personal reasons for changing. Luke then uses what you have discussed to shape the therapeutic part of the session around you.

What does hypnotherapy involve?

Hypnotherapy is a guided process involving focused attention and therapeutic suggestions. You remain aware, can communicate and are always able to choose whether to participate. It does not involve surrendering control.

Do I need to believe in hypnosis?

No. You can ask questions and discuss any concerns before deciding whether the approach feels right for you. Therapeutic hypnosis is very different from stage hypnosis or entertainment.

Is the program guaranteed to make me stop?

No smoking-cessation approach can guarantee an individual result. Nicotine dependence may also require practical or medical support. The program focuses on helping you work with the learned patterns and automatic responses connected to smoking or vaping.

Can sessions be completed online?

Yes. Online sessions are available, along with in-person options in and around Brisbane. Delivery options can be discussed during your call.

Is follow-up support available?

Follow-up support is available when needed. Luke will outline what is included and how additional support works before the program begins.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the program format and whether sessions are online or in person. Luke will explain the options and full cost before you make a commitment.

Is it covered by Medicare or private health insurance?

Medicare does not currently provide a rebate. Private health insurance benefits may vary by provider and policy, so please check directly with your insurer.
